Travel Day, Recovery Day, and Back On The Trail

The rolling hills of magical Prince Edward Island are but a memory now. The glorious days where time slowed to a crawl and life felt simple and peaceful flew by. And while we paused in the idyllic surroundings of the countryside, we're now thankful to be home at Hummingbird House by the Lake, recharged and refreshed.

Day 14 dawned as a travel day and so needless to say, I was unable to log any kilometers that day. And, having arrived home in the wee hours of Wednesday, after a nearly 22 hour drive, Day 15 will go officially into the books as a recovery day.

So, on to Day 16 and back on the trail. The morning was and sunny. After kicking out the remaining red dirt of PEI, I trekked along my familiar route and logged a total of 8.75 kilometers.

With the first half of the SITPFKWB 2021 campaign now in the books, I will be focusing hard on logging the most kilometers I am able. And, while donations have been trickling in slowly and I am truly grateful to all those who have already pledged their support. As ever, I will be personally donating .50 cents per kilometer for every kilometer I walk in the month of September (in support of pet rescue) and I invite folks to show their support by sponsoring me either by cents-per-kilometer or in a lump sum.
