DAY 8 :: STROLL IN THE PARK FOR KIDS WHO BARK (in support of pet rescue)

Short But Sweet

Today dawned gloriously sunny and warm, perfect for the jammed itinerary for our day. As a special part of SITPFKWB 2021, we logged a couple of kilometers through Charlottetown's beautiful Victoria Park and along the boardwalk that hugs the harbour and the Northumberland Straight. While I added only 2 kilometers officially to my total, we spent the day wandering through the quaint, shop-lined streets of Charlottetown.

While I watched a few folks with their beloved pooches meandering along the boardwalk, I couldn't help but think about our three darling fur-kids. Every day, I am truly thankful for the people like you who supported the rescue groups who saved our cherished babies! If it wasn't for donations to these groups, Miss Joee's, Jeffrey's, and Jacob-Milo's lives could have come to tragic ends!

Jacob-Milo -a stray without a microchip wandering out near an Arizona desert, Jeffrey -a puppy mill reject, scheduled for destruction at 2 days old, and Joee -a puppy mill mama, forced to crank out litter after litter and then dumped as garbage. But, your donations create "Happily Ever Afters" for so many precious souls. Your donations save fur-kids lives!

As ever, I will be personally donating .50 cents per kilometer for every kilometer I walk in the month of September (in support of pet rescue) and I invite folks to show their support by sponsoring me either by cents-per-kilometer or in a lump sum.
