Usually, my Sunday morning is reserved for attending church and giving thanks for all the blessings in my life. (Live streaming is a small blessing in itself.) So, as I struck out shortly after the crack of dawn this morning I thought about all those other mornings in the past several years that I have been blessed with the opportunity to hit the trail for my walk and drink in the beauty of nature. For hundreds of days over the past many years, I have been given the passion and physical strength for a cause that I hold dear to my heart. And, more than that, I have been blessed with a "family" of supporters who have stuck by me and cheered me on since my first walk in 2013. I am so grateful for that.

Today, once again, the trail was deserted except for a little fellow who was happy to continue munching his breakfast as I trekked on by. In fact, the only fur-kid I came across was Larry, the iron monument of the Cleveland Indians mascot. But, throughout my 10 kilometers this morning few good shots were to be found. But I'm sure that over the next 26 days, I'll find some great shots along my route.

For this final year, I will be personally donating $1.00 per kilometer for every kilometer I walk in the month of September (in support of pet rescue) and I invite you to show your support by sponsoring me either by cents/kilometer or in a lump sum. Even the smallest amount is still better than none. And, for added convenience in this global world, I have created a GoFundMe page but for my local supporters I am happy to accept cash, cheques, and e-transfers at (StrollingForFurKids@gmail.com).

I know that times are extremely tough for a lot of folks these days and it may just be impossible to chip in financially. But, you can still be a Happy's Hero by liking and sharing all my socials (see below) and just spreading the word. There are so many fur-kids out there, counting on us to help turn their golden years into the BEST ONES EVER and that's why I STROLL IN THE PARK FOR KIDS WHO BARK!!! #SITPFKWB2022 #TenthSITPFKWB #happysplacearetirementhomefordogs #HappysPlaceSeniorDogs #seniordogsrock #myrescuekids #luvmyrescuekids #SITPFKWB #RescueDogsOfInstagram
