DAY 3 :: Stroll In The Park For Kids Who Bark

Steamy. That's how I would sum up this morning's trek. Even leaving by 7, the heat was already building in and the sun hadn't even come anywhere close to shining just yet. Otherwise, today's trip was rather uneventful. It seems everyone was either taking the day off or making a later morning of it. The closest to any fur-kids I got was the dog walker who was headed in my direction, but made an abrupt turn off to let loose all the pups in a farmer's field across the road. (I seriously hope he had permission from ALL parties to do that. My mind jumped to all the terrible things that could happen to some of those tiny pups he was letting off leash out there.) So, as I dragged my butt in the front door, I was relieved to be able to add another 10 kilometers to the log today.

For this final year, I will be personally donating $1.00 per kilometer for every kilometer I walk in the month of September (in support of pet rescue) and I invite you to show your support by sponsoring me either by cents/kilometer or in a lump sum.
