WELCOME!! I am so excited to begin the 2019 edition of Stroll In The Park For Kids Who Bark and look forward, once again, to another successful campaign.

Generally, I like to support small, local, and often struggling pet rescue groups, but at the moment, my quest to find another group to follow continues. In light of the seemingly endless news stories these days revealing neglect, abuse, and homelessness in the pet population, my search has become almost overwhelming. However, I recently discovered that the OSPCA is holding a fundraising "walk" this month. So, naturally, this seemed to be the answer to my search as I embark on the 2019 Stroll In The Park For Kids Who Bark campaign.

Follow the attached link to my team page: OSPCA .

This year's SITPFKWB campaign will differ slightly to what my "two or three" followers will remember.

The custom, during the month of September, I donate .50 cents for every kilometer I walk and invite folks to pledge either cents/kilometer or in a lump sum and I will continue that. However, on the weekend of September 21-22, I will double my pledge amount to $1.00 per kilometer. Further, I have some other "surprises" planned for the month and will be unveiling them in the coming days.

As for my report for Day 1, I was unable to log a single kilometer. Bad weather and the funeral of a friend prevented me from striking out on the trail.

As ever, the focus of the campaign remains this: I will be personally donating .50 cents per kilometer for every kilometer I walk in the month of September and I invite folks to show their support by sponsoring me either by cents/kilometer or in a lump sum. For added convenience, I have created a GoFundMe account but for my local supporters, I am also happy to accept cash, cheques, and e-transfers.

So, tomorrow is a new day and I will be anxious to lace up and head out as I STROLL IN THE PARK FOR KIDS WHO BARK (in support of pet rescue)!!!
