The second last day of SITPFKWB was a bright sunny day but I was sad today as my thoughts were dominated by my cousin who lost her sweet cat Putnam yesterday to the sudden and aggressive onset of pancreatitis. Lori, while being the epitome of the "crazy cat lady" reckons she's had over 30 cats in her lifetime.

The amazing thing is that she has saved virtually all of her babies from homelessness and/or abandonment; many through a local cat rescue.

Putnam, who was blind, was the most recent rescue when, just 16 months ago this little one year old fellow had been found dumped out near the 401 in the Putnam area. My heart aches today at the loss of this little sweetie and for the anguish my cousin is suffering right now. But, regardless of whether it's cats or dogs, Lori is an Earth-angel for her endless care and love in rescue.

Tomorrow is the last day in the 2018 Stroll In The Park For Kids Who Bark campaign and there is still time to make a small donation. To those of my supporters who have already donated, THANK YOU, EVER SO MUCH, FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART.

As ever, the focus of the campaign remains this; I am personally donating -to each rescue- .50 cents per kilometer for every kilometer I walk in the month of September (in support of Paws United Dog Rescue (not for profit rescue) and Pee Wees Pals Animal Rescue) and I invite folks to show their support by sponsoring me either by cents/kilometer or in a lump sum. For added convenience, I have created a GoFundMe account [ https://www.gofundme.com/stroll-in-the-park-for-kids-who-bar ] but for my local supporters I am also happy to accept cheques, bank e-transfer, and cash.

I hope you're able to help a deserving soul in rescue with just a small donation while I STROLL IN THE PARK FOR KIDS WHO BARK!!!

**Please note that it is not possible to provide tax receipts for donations made through the GFM website.
