My mind continues to race and my focus comes and goes. As I look into the eyes of the beautiful little princess we rescued just 5 years ago, my heart feels like lead. Knowing the horrible experiences she's suffered over her life fills me with such sadness. Forced for the first several years of her life to produce litter after litter of babies, then being discarded like "trash" on a back country road to the waiting arms of a rescuer. A further few weeks of unfamiliar people, places, medical tests, procedures, and treatments until FINALLY landing in my arms. FINALLY, our girl fell into a safe life, a happy life, a LOVED life.

So, 5 years later, our brave and unflinching little Miss Joee will undergo another, even bigger trauma when her right eye is surgically removed next Tuesday. But, I am thankful that I will be the one, once again, whose arm cradle her in safety and let her know she's LOVED.

So, as hard as it is to focus right now, knowing that donations from this year's Stroll In The Park For Kids Who Bark campaign will help to give this same gift of L♡VE to other discarded little fur-kids, I put one foot after another to add to my total kilometers.

With just 3 days to go in the this year's SITPFKWB campaign I sincerely hope that more donations will come in. To those of my supporters who have already donated, THANK YOU, EVER SO MUCH, FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART.

As ever, the focus of the campaign remains this; I am personally donating -to each rescue- .50 cents per kilometer for every kilometer I walk in the month of September (in support of Paws United Dog Rescue (not for profit rescue) and Pee Wees Pals Animal Rescue) and I invite folks to show their support by sponsoring me either by cents/kilometer or in a lump sum. For added convenience, I have created a GoFundMe account [ https://www.gofundme.com/stroll-in-the-park-for-kids-who-bar ] but for my local supporters I am also happy to accept cheques, bank e-transfer, and cash.

I hope you're able to help a deserving soul in rescue with just a small donation while I STROLL IN THE PARK FOR KIDS WHO BARK!!!

**Please note that it is not possible to provide tax receipts for donations made through the GFM website.
