Yes, this post for day 24 is about 24 hours late so, as a first time ever, I am going to wrap up two days into one.

To be frank, the last 48 hours have been an emotional roller-coaster that has left me feeling entirely drained!!

First, the good news is that yesterday I logged 6.5 kilometers in the lovely, fresh Autumn morning.

From there however, things went ... well ...

Our SITPFKWB poster girl had an emergency opthamologist appointment, ending in a return visit today for an ocular ultrasound. Through that procedure, Dr. Quinn discovered that she has a detached retina and will lose her eye next Tuesday.

That...after this morning where, during my presentation to the Ladies Coffee Hour at North Park Community Church, the AV system crashed ... sigh ... causing a 20 minute delay while the wonderful Pastor Shane was able rescue me!!! But, despite the glitch, I was honoured to receive some very generous donations!

So, needless to say, I am an emotional wreck at the moment and will be heading to bed for some much needed sleep!

There are just 5 days to go in the 2018 Stroll In The Park For Kids Who Bark campaign and donations have now begun to pick up. But I know I have lots of work yet to do. To those of my supporters who have already donated, THANK YOU, EVER SO MUCH, FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART.

As ever, the focus of the campaign remains this; I am personally donating -to each rescue- .50 cents per kilometer for every kilometer I walk in the month of September (in support of Paws United Dog Rescue (not for profit rescue) and Pee Wees Pals Animal Rescue) and I invite folks to show their support by sponsoring me either by cents/kilometer or in a lump sum. For added convenience, I have created a GoFundMe account [ https://www.gofundme.com/stroll-in-the-park-for-kids-who-bar ] but for my local supporters I am also happy to accept cheques, bank e-transfer, and cash.

I hope you're able to help a deserving soul in rescue with just a small donation while I STROLL IN THE PARK FOR KIDS WHO BARK!!!

**Please note that it is not possible to provide receipts for donations made through the GFM website.
