Another misty, foggy day greeted me as I stepped out the door for Day 13 of my month-long fundraiser, Stroll In The Park For Kids Who Bark. It’s been a rough week for me this week, as someone who suffers from “weather-induced” migraines. This kind of weather triggers a cluster of headaches that I struggle to deal with; not debilitating enough to knock me out and annoying enough to drag me down. Today I was able to eek out 5-and-a half kilometers.

We’re nearing the halfway point in this year’s campaign and the donations are trickling in. I know my work is cut out for me to “get trucking” and rack up the kilometers. Each time I look at my beloved rescued fur-kids, Miss Joee and Jacob-Milo, I know, with your help, we can help make a difference to so many other lost little souls.

To those of my supporters who have already donated, thank you so much from the bottom of my heart.

As ever, the focus of the campaign remains this; I am personally donating to each rescue .50 cents per kilometer for every kilometer I walk in the month of September (in support of Paws United Dog Rescue (not for profit rescue) and Pee Wees Pals Animal Rescue) and I invite folks to show their support by sponsoring me either by cents/kilometer or in a lump sum. For added convenience, I have created a GoFundMe account [ https://www.gofundme.com/stroll-in-the-park-for-kids-who-bar ] but for my local supporters I am also happy to accept cheques, bank e-transfer, and cash.

It’s time to get my butt in gear and pound the pavement as I STROLL IN THE PARK FOR KIDS WHO BARK!!!

**Please note that it is not possible to provide tax receipts for donations made through the GFM website.
