Today was recovery day. The migraine I was battling yesterday knocked the wind out of my sails or more appropriately, the paces out of my stroll and it took me the better part of the morning to feel myself again. Thankfully, the sun made an appearance and when my husband Bill offered to walk with me, I began to feel much better.

Meandering path through Pinafore Park in St. Thomas, Ontario

I was still dragging my butt so I certainly didn’t log the kilometers I had intended, but 5 are better than naught.

If you have been following my posts, you’ll now know that I have selected two deserving rescues as recipients of my fundraising efforts; Paws-United and Pee Wees Pals. To those of my supporters who have already donated, THANK YOU SO MUCH FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART. As ever, the focus of the campaign remains this; I am personally donating .50 cents per kilometer for every kilometer I walk in the month of September (to each group) and I invite folks to show their support by sponsoring me either by cents/kilometer or in a lump sum. For added convenience, I have created a GoFundMe account [ https://www.gofundme.com/stroll-in-the-park-for-kids-who-bar ] but for my local supporters I am also happy to accept cheques, bank e-transfer, and cash. Donations of $20 or more will receive an income tax receipt.

I’m off to bed early tonight in the hopes of recharging back to full strength so first thing tomorrow I’ll be ready to STROLL IN THE PARK FOR KIDS WHO BARK!!!

**Please note that it is not possible to provide a tax receipt for donations made through the GFM website.
