NOW THAT’S MORE LIKE IT!!! Yes, today was a much better day for logging kilometers. And that I did. Striking out early on this lovely, almost fall-like day, I enjoyed some fresher air (after yesterday’s rain) this morning and logged a total of 12 kilometers. (Sounds like an early start is on the agenda for tomorrow too, with the forecast high of 34°C).

Of course, along the way, I am always happy to stop and chat with all the fur-kids and their folks I encounter and today was no exception. Sweet little Carley, a 5-year-old, sassy little cock-a-poo was ready to play and give lots of kisses as I heard all about her antics from her dad.

But, as much as we love our fur-kids, the hard truth is that there are hundreds, even thousands in our area that, I am sad to say, are unloved, unwanted, and even homeless. My hope is that my fundraising efforts will go to assist a deserving area rescue organization in caring for and finding “fur-ever” homes for many of these souls. I am pleased to say that within the next day or two, I should be making a formal announcement regarding the rescue group I will be supporting this year.

I will be personally donating .50 cents per kilometer for every kilometer I walk in the month of September. I invite you to show your support by sponsoring me either by cents/kilometer or in a lump sum. Your donations may be made by cash, cheque, or bank email transfer, or via my Go Fund Me page https://www.gofundme.com/stroll-in-the-park-for-kids-who-bar.

I hope you will consider helping me make a difference in the lives of pets in rescue as I STROLL IN THE PARK FOR KIDS WHO BARK!!!

**Please note that it is not possible to provide tax receipts for any donations made through the GFM website.
