Day 26 :: Stroll In The Park For Kids Who Bark

In just over 12 hours, the 2nd Annual Stroll-Along-Sunday will unfold! I am so excited! Everything is packed up and sitting at the front door ready to go. The weather is supposed to be perfect. So, I just know that anyone who joins us tomorrow in Springbank Park, Picnic Area L from 1 – 3:00 is going to have a blast!!!

My day began with a schedule that was filled from sunrise to sunset but I managed to squeak in 7.75 kilometers as I walked around beautiful Lake Margaret and Pinafore Park. With only 4 more Stroll In The Park For Kids Who Bark (in support of Animalert) days left this month, I will be trying to log as many kilometers as I can.

As I mentioned, during my month-long fundraising challenge, I will be personally donating .50 cents per kilometer for every kilometer I walk in the month of September and I invite folks to show their support by sponsoring me either by cents/kilometer or in a lump sum. For added convenience, I have created a GoFundMe account (for my American and International family and friends), but for my local supporters I am happy to accept cheques (made payable to Animalert), bank e-transfer, and cash.

As excited as I am for tomorrow, I’ll be lucky to sleep tonight but even in my dreams I STROLL IN THE PARK FOR KIDS WHO BARK!!!
