After an spending a couple of exhausting days of lates nights and extremely early mornings promoting SITPFKWB I wasn’t sure if I would have the energy to get out and walk today. But yes, I managed to drag myself out of bed and get off to a quick pace at the park by 7:30 this morning! My walking pal Shari joined me and we logged a good 15 kilometers together.
I am excited and honoured to announce that Shari has committed to matching my donation of .50 cents for every kilometer I walk! HOW COOL IS THAT?!?!?!
So, it’s now time to focus on the final preparations for STROLL-ALONG-SUNDAY coming up from 1:00 to 3:00 this Sunday, September 27th in Springbank Park, Picnic Area L.

The Byron Pet Valu has donated coupons for a FREE Dog Wash ($10.00 value) to the first 20 Strollers and there will be a free gift to those who pre-register through my website. There will also be a grand prize for the Stroller who collects the most donations.
As I mentioned, during my month-long fundraising challenge, I will be personally donating .50 cents per kilometer for every kilometer I walk in the month of September and I invite folks to show their support by sponsoring me either by cents/kilometer or in a lump sum. For added convenience, I have created a GoFundMe account (for my American and International family and friends), but for my local supporters I am happy to accept cheques (made payable to Animalert), bank e-transfer, and cash.
We are embarking on the final week and I hope I can count on your support as I STROLL IN THE PARK FOR KIDS WHO BARK!!!
