For anyone who perhaps, may have, possibly noticed, I missed posting yesterday, Day 19 of Stroll In The Park For Kids Who Bark (in support of Animaert). And, for several reasons.
First of all, because of the weather (I do indeed walk in the rain), but the torrential downpour was enough to prevent even me from lacing up my walking shoes.
Secondly, I had a mountain of work to do putting the finishing touches on a presentation on pet rescue I will be making to the Ladies Coffee Hour Group at North Park Church on Tuesday morning.
But, the biggest reason was that I decided to write a very “special” blog to commemorate National Puppy Mill Awareness Day, which falls on the third Sunday of September. In case you missed it, click here for the link.

Today however, on this Day 20 of Stroll In The Park For Kids Who Bark, the morning dawned crisp and bright and I enjoyed an invigorating 8.25 kilometer hike with a guest stroller, my husband Bill.
During my month-long fundraising challenge, I will be personally donating .50 cents per kilometer for every kilometer I walk in the month of September, I invite folks to show their support by sponsoring me either by cents/kilometer or in a lump sum. For added convenience, I have created a GoFundMe account (for my American and International family and friends), but for my local supporters I am happy to accept cheques (made payable to Animalert), bank e-transfer, and cash.
In conjunction with SITPFKWB I will be hosting Stroll-Along–Sunday taking place on September 27th from 1 to 3:00 at Springbank Park Picnic Area L. We hope you and your fur-kids will come out and join us for an afternoon of fun, refreshments, and oh ya, a Stroll In The Park For Kids Who Bark! To register, e-mail me or you can find all the details on my website.
I will continue to pray for an end to puppy mills and torture and agongy so many innocent souls suffer as I STROLL IN THE PARK FOR KIDS WHO BARK!!!
