On this morning of Day 18 of Stroll In The Park For Kids Who Bark (in support of Animalert) I had to drag myself out of bed. I suffer from weather-related migraines and it was a “migraine-coming-on-feeling” kind of morning but I toughed it out and logged 7.25 kilometers. A few late nights and early morning are catching up with me and I can’t remember (even when I was working) having as busy a schedule as I do right now!

Unfortunately, I didn’t encounter a single fur-kid on my trek this morning but found an unusual specimen of fungus to add to my photo collection.

During my month-long fundraising challenge, I will be personally donating .50 cents per kilometer for every kilometer I walk in the month of September, I invite folks to show their support by sponsoring me either by cents/kilometer or in a lump sum. For added convenience, I have created a GoFundMe account (for my American and International family and friends), but for my local supporters I am happy to accept cheques (made payable to Animalert), bank e-transfer, and cash.

In conjunction with SITPFKWB I will be hosting Stroll-Along –Sunday taking place on September 27th from 1 to 3:00 at Springbank Park Picnic Area L. We hope you and your fur-kids will come out and join us for an afternoon of fun, refreshments, and oh ya, a Stroll In The Park For Kids Who Bark! To register, e-mail me or you can find all the details on my website.

Tomorrow's weather, according to the "rain pain" in my eye and environment Canada, is predicted to be less than ideal but I will do my best to get out and STROLL IN THE PARK FOR KIDS WHO BARK!!!
