Fall was most definitely in the air this morning! At the time we set out for day 13 of Stroll In The Park For Kids Who Bark it was only 9°C (that’s 48.2°F for my American friends). My steaming Tim’s Dark Roast and a brisk pace were needed in order to get the blood flowing and in the end, my walking buddy Shari and I logged over 8.5 kilometers.

In case you weren’t aware of it, today is National Hug Your Hound Day. So in honour of this special day, this photo is for my darlin’ rescued cock-a-poo girlie Joee!
In conjunction with SITPFKWB Joee and I will be hosting Stroll-Along –Sunday taking place on September 27th from 1 to 3:00 at Springbank Park Picnic Area. We hope you and your fur-kids will come out and join us for an afternoon of fun, refreshments, and oh ya, a Stroll In The Park For Kids Who Bark! To register, e-mail me at StrollingForFurKids@gmail.com or you can find all the details on my website at www.SITPFKWB.wix.com/StrollInThe Park.
I am personally donating .50 cents per kilometer for every kilometer I walk in the month of September, I invite folks to show their support by sponsoring me either by cents/kilometer or in a lump sum. For added convenience, I have created a GoFundMe account (for my American and International family and friends), but for my local supporters I am happy to accept cheques (made payable to Animalert), bank e-transfer, and cash.
So, I hope you’ll take a minute to Hug Your Hound, but also consider pledging your support for those abused, abandoned, and homeless fur-kids who are in desperate need of your help while I STROLL IN THE PARK FOR KIDS WHO BARK!!!
