We were slow to get moving this morning as we took the opportunity to enjoy a leisurely morning as we celebrate our 34th wedding anniversary today. But, after a nice surprise visit from my brother and nephew, I laced up my shoes to log at least a few kilometers for my month-long fundraising challenge Stroll In The Park For Kids Who Bark (in support of Animalert).

On an extremely windy and somewhat chilly afternoon I did manage to log 4.25 kilometers.

On my way back through the park, I stopped for a chat with sweet little Sophie and her Mommy and invited them to come out to Stroll-Along –Sunday taking place on September 27th from 1 to 3:00 at Springbank Park Picnic Area. To register and downloand your pledge forms, you can find all the details on my website at www.SITPFKWB.wix.com/StrollInThe Park.
I am personally donating .50 cents per kilometer for every kilometer I walk in the month of September, I invite folks to show their support by sponsoring me either by cents/kilometer or in a lump sum. For added convenience, I have created a GoFundMe account (for my American and International family and friends), but for my local supporters I am happy to accept cheques (made payable to Animalert), bank e-transfer, and cash.
This evening we’ll raise a glass to celebrate 34 years of wedded bliss but once again tomorrow I will continue to STROLL IN THE PARK FOR KIDS WHO BARK!!!
