Today was what I call Admin Day. While I didn’t log any “technical” kilometers, I spent many hours working on making valuable contacts, doing strategic planning, and working on some of my “creative” ideas. (Old photo from 2006)

I am looking forward to the exciting opportunity of appearing as a guest speaker at North Park Community Church’s Women’s Coffee Hour on Tuesday, September 22nd. There I will have the chance to speak to the group about my passion for fur-kids and my month-long fundraising campaign Stroll In The Park For Kids Who Bark (in support of Animalert).

As well, plans for the 2nd Annual Stroll-Along-Sunday are well underway and I’m spending lots of time brainstorming and working hard to make this year’s event even bigger and better than last.

I also spent some time tweaking my logo and creating my mantra Rescue~Rehab~Rehome.

But naturally, the main focus of the campaign is this; I am personally donating .50 cents per kilometer for every kilometer I walk in the month of September, I invite folks to show their support by sponsoring me either by cents/kilometer or in a lump sum. For added convenience, I have created a GoFundMe ** account (for my American and International family and friends), but for my local supporters I am happy to accept cheques (made payable to Animalert), bank e-transfer, and cash.

So, while today was a quiet day on the logging device, tomorrow I’ll be recharged and raring to STROLL IN THE PARK FOR KIDS WHO BARK!!!
