While I feel like this year’s SITPFKWB has gotten off to a slow start, I actually set a new one week record logging 64.5 kilometers -beating last year's total of 61- and donations have begun to trickle in . At a time where so many charities and tragic world events are reaching out to ask for assistance, it’s hard to ask for more. But, knowing that without the assistance of so many kind-hearted people, programs such as Animalert wouldn’t be able to continue to save, care for, and rehome the hundreds of abandoned, abused, and simply discarded fur-kids they help every year. (I know first-hand though our Animalert adoption of our own precious girl, Joee [below], a puppy-mill mama who was saved from her life-long enslavement of having litter after litter of babies.)

I have pledged to donate .50 cents for every kilometer I walk in the month of September and invite you to sponsor me either by pledging cents per/kilometer or in a lump sum.
Or, if you’re looking for a more active way of becoming involved, join me for Stroll-Along-Sunday, being held Sunday, September 27th from 1 – 3:00 p.m. at Picnic Area L, Springbank Park in London. All of the event details are available here on the website, on my Facebook page, or by e-mailing me at StrollingForFurKids@gmail.com. A registration and pledge form is available. Those who register before September 14th will receive a free gift and there will be a grand prize for the stroller who raises the most donations. Even just 5¢ per kilometer will add to a donation that will mean the difference of a life of misery or a playful, fun, and happy life in a foster home for a puppy-mill slave! So, I hope you'll join with me to STROLL IN THE PARK FOR KIDS WHO BARK!!!
