DAY 27 :: STROLL IN THE PARK FOR KIDS WHO BARK (in support of Animalert)

Although today has been a busy SITPFKWB day in preparation for tomorrow's Stroll-Along-Sunday, I was able to log 12 kilometers. The morning began with a most beautiful sun filled sky and fresh air. I am always at peace as I walk through the quiet, deserted pathways early in the morning! But, the quiet and solitude was quickly halted when I reached the Wonderland Gardens to find that it was the ALS Walk today. I cannot recall ever seeing as many people gather for a charity function at the Park as there were today. I sincerely and deeply wish that other charities (Alzheimers, Diabetes, MS, CP, and so many others) could enjoy the support that this one has. As charities go, my small but heartfelt month-long fundraiser, SITPFKWB, means so much to me. Knowing that the donations I am able to procure will make a difference between a loving, happy, family life and the world of abuse, abandonment, or neglect makes me happy. I hug and kiss my Joee one extra time every time I think of this!

So, once again, I hope that - regardless of whether you're able to raise ANY donations or not - you'll consider joining us tomorrow at Springbank Park, Picnic Area L at 2:00 to show your support as we STROLL IN THE PARK FOR KIDS WHO BARK!!!
